Surdex currently owns and operates eight aerial photography aircraft out of our Chesterfield Missouri flight center. Each of these aircraft has been equipped to operate a wide range of aerial sensor systems. The aircraft have the ability to be configured with any of the aerial cameras, LiDAR sensors or the DMC should a project require the specific flight dynamics of a specific aircraft.

Surdex works with clients to determine the optimal time of year for photography acquisition. This is usually left up to the discretion of the client and their individual needs. Surdex provides flight plans to clients so that they are aware of the plan before photography is acquired. Aerial photography is acquired with stereo coverage of the project area. Aerial photography is typically acquired with a GPS controlled flight management system.
We also work with clients to determine the type of image capture that best meets their needs. For example, some projects can be acquired with traditional film capture, and some projects are better suited for one of our three Digital Mapping Cameras.
